Do you consider yourself to be an international person? Why or why not? If so, write about people you know or have known from other countries.

Yes, I think I do. In my mind, an “international person” would be someone who has the confidence to move around in the world, maybe not everywhere, but a lot of places, and I definitely feel like that.

On one very obvious level, I’ve lived abroad before, and traveled abroad many times since.

On another level, I quite like living in New York City precisely because there is such a large international presence. I remember, even back at UMD, one of the top coolest things I absolutely loved about being there was the presence of international students speaking non-English languages in the halls. It absolutely expanded my mind - I think that literally everyone should have that experience in some form, because as Red Green says…
