50in50: Last Book I Couldn't Put Down
What’s this? I’m trying to blog once a day for 50 days! Inspired by Forking Mad and Lou Plummer.
Write a book review of the last book you couldn’t put down.
I listened to the audiobook of Getting Along: How to Work with Anyone by Amy Gallo over the course of a short road trip.
When I’m going through a rough patch a work, I’ll try to find work-related books like this to try and resuscitate things a little… Usually, these books are full of mostly common sense things written in an overly prescriptive way. This book was not like that. I mean, fundamentally, the answer to “how do you get along with other people?” is something like “you either do or you don’t,” and this book does not change that. However, it is definitely the most empathetically-written book I have read on the topic, and I bought the ebook copy so I could go through and reference passages later.
